Top 5 Reasons You Should Attend
Here are our Top 5 reasons why you should attend Clinton, Muscatine
or Scott Community College:

1.
Affordability – We work hard to make
your education affordable. Our tuition is the lowest in the state
of Iowa. Compare our tuition
to the private colleges and technical institutes and you’ll
discover that you’ll save thousands of dollars as one of our
students.
We also offer many financial aid
options that can help you pay for your education. These include our
own scholarships as well as many state and federal programs.
2. Personal
Attention – As a first-year student in a
large university you can easily find yourself sitting in a
classroom with 100 or more students. We, on the other hand, have
more than 7,000 students enrolled in our college but an average
class is still around 20 to 25 students and many are smaller.
That personal attention goes beyond the classroom. For instance,
all three colleges offer free tutoring programs that can help you
with a subject area that you might be struggling with. When we say
you’re more than a number, we really mean it.
3. Successful
Graduates – Business people, teachers,
government officials, healthcare providers, engineers; someone you
know has probably attended Clinton, Muscatine or Scott Community
College.
Formal agreements with the state universities
and private colleges make it easy for our college transfer students to move onto a
four-year institution. Our career technology faculty works closely
with local business leaders to make sure they are teaching students
the skills they need to get a job immediately upon graduation.
4. Quality
Faculty – All of our arts and sciences
faculty have their master’s or doctorate degree and our
career technology faculty have actual experience in the field in
which they are teaching. One of the truly great things about
attending our colleges is that our small class sizes allow you to
really get to know your instructors. If you have a question or
simply want to share a thought about something that was discussed
in class, you can go ahead and do that directly with your
instructor.
5. Choices
– Regardless of your talents and desires, we’re sure to
have what you’re looking for. If you’re interested in a
bachelor’s degree or higher, you can complete the first two
years of your major field with us and then transfer your credits to a four-year college
or university.
If career
training is what you have in mind, Clinton, Muscatine and Scott
Community Colleges offer more than 40 different career options with
lengths of study varying from one semester to two full years. If
you’re not sure what field you want to enter, we have career
advisors who can help you with that as well
