It's easy to become a student

The following is a simple checklist to guide you on your way to becoming a student at Clinton, Muscatine and Scott Community Colleges. If you have any questions, just call the Admissions Department at one of the colleges.

____ 1. Complete an online Application for Admission or a printed version and submit it to one of the college's Admissions Departments.

____ 2. Complete the financial aid paperwork. Please allow 10 - 12 weeks for processing.

____ 3. Request that your official transcripts be mailed directly to the Admissions Department at our college that you plan to attend. This should include high school, GED and prior college transcripts.

____ 4. Sign up to take an assessment test unless you have one of the following:

  • An ACT test within the last five years
  • 12 or more college credits from an accredited college with a GPA of 2.5 or above, including math and English
  • An AA/AS degree or higher
  • Enrolling in the Truck Driving program

____ 5. Make an appointment with the Admissions Department to see an advisor who will help you plan your schedule.

____ 6. Plan to attend new student orientation. Orientation is held prior to each smester. If you are registered for classes, you will receive information in the mail.
