This 24 hour DOT National EMT Refresher sponsored by Eastern Iowa Community Colleges and Medic EMS will satisfy the following renewal requirements:

Preparatory 1 hour
Airway 2 hour
OB / Peds 2 hour
Patient Assessment 3 hour
Medical / Behavioral 4 hour
Trauma 4 hour
Elective 8 hour

Section 1 of the National Registry Renewal(24 hour DOT curriculum Refresher)
These approved hours can also be used as part of the mandatory additional 48 hours of continuing education required by the National Registry, if you already have taken an official refresher, or have the required hours and topics for Refresher training.

Completion of this entire 24 hour DOT National EMT Refresher satisfies section 1 for National Registry EMT-Basic renewal. Completion of the entire 24 hours will also satisfy the IOWA EMT-B to EMT transition as well as First Responder to EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) Transition requirements.
