Admission Requirements

Here's how to request credit for prior learning:

  • Complete the paperwork and pay the testing fee.
  • Up to 46 credit hours may be awarded toward your Technical Studies AAS.
  • There is a $9 per credit hour transcription fee, but that’s a lot less than a credit hour of tuition!
  • Work with your advisor to plan your individualized course of study.
  • Complete the plan and be awarded your associate’s degree.

You file for financial aid, and if your Expected Family Contribution is at or below $20,000, the state covers the remaining balance beyond the aid for which you are eligible.
