Purpose: To recognize individual employees and/or cross-functional district teams of the EICCD for outstanding service and impact in four areas: leadership, quality service, process improvement and community outreach/volunteer service on behalf of the community college.
Bob Allbee - Leadership
Bob's leadership abilities are reflected in his continual commitment to facilitate EICCD's mission and values, and through the encouragement and support of high performance of all employees through his involvement in the Continuous Quality Improvement program. Bob's strengths are evident in his personalized approach, his "off-beat" sense of humor and his ability to be an outstanding facilitative instructor for CQI. He is consistently rated by CQI attendees as above average to excellent. Other colleges and communities have requested Bob to "volunteer" his expertise and Bob has acquiesced providing services as far away as Ohio.
One of his nominators states:
"EICCD is fortunate to have Bob Allbee on our team. He IS the real deal, a leader for the future, someone we are all proud to be associated with."
Mardell Mommsen – Process Improvement
Mardell's work through the years, not only as Registrar, but also with Student Activities Groups and councils such as the Chancellor's Advisory Council has giver her the unique insight to identify opportunities for improvement and promote new ways to gather and use information to enhance decision making.
Gary Olson – Quality Service
Over the years, Gary has provided EICCD with continuous quality service in all aspects including volunteering on critical committees to assist students with their technology needs. In particular, since his appointment to Help Desk Manager, EICCD has been well served by his expertise and the thoroughness of which he addresses each task to ensure that every call and every question is answered in a manner that will best assist the customer.
Janelle Torres y Torres – Community Outreach
Janelle has demonstrated actions which have improved the success of the institution by continually supporting her students and being a spokesperson for their needs. Her instruction and the depth to which she utilizes her talents within the community to benefit the community college mission are an example to everyone.
