Intense all day training on what you need to know to start and operate a new business. Boot Camp covers the business plan, market research, financing and running your business after it opens. You'll come away with information on taxes, personnel issues, insurance and real estate. Don't miss this one! It's everything a new business owner needs in order to move through the ranks of success.

REGISTRATION

Call Scott Community College at (563) 441-4100 or call toll-free 1-888-336-3907.

Send your check or money order (no cash please) to Eastern Iowa Community College District, Attn: Registration, 306 West River Drive, Davenport, IA, 52801.

Write the class number and your social security number in the lower left corner of the check. You may use VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.

Class Cancellation - Seven days prior to the activity, a decision will be made by the college administration to run or cancel the program based on the number of individuals who have enrolled and paid. Each college reserves the right to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment.

Refunds and Substitutions - If your plans change, you may cancel your registration up to seven calendar days prior to the start of the program. After that, no refunds will be issued. You may however, apply the tuition towards another class that meets your scheduling requirements or you may choose a gift certificate in the amount of your class to use within one year of the date issued. Please note that if you don't cancel and don't attend, you are still responsible for payment.

The SBDC is a comprehensive, statewide resource that helps entrepreneurs start or grow their businesses. With 13 Iowa locations, we receive over 50,000 phone calls and provide business assistance to over 10,000 Iowans each year. The Eastern Iowa SBDC serves businesses in Jackson, Clinton, Scott and Muscatine counties.

The SBDC helps entrepreneurs in every area of starting, operating and exiting a business. This includes business planning, marketing, finance, accounting, human resources, feasibility studies and more. We further leverage services through our statewide system of universities, community colleges, chambers, banks, consultants, and our national SBDC network.

SBDC Center Director, Ann Hutchinson, has extensive experience in business and government, as well as the practical experience of successfully starting, operating, expanding and selling a small business.
