English as a Second Language Instructor
Part-time (a.m.) Position
Muscatine Community College

The Instructor is responsible for planning and teaching English as a Second Language classes, maintaining accurate records of student attendance, and periodically assessing student progress. Responsibility may also include academic advising and acting as a college liaison with local community based organizations and schools.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.  Teaching/counseling experience in adult education, special education/learning disabilities, or language-learning is desirable, as is experience in working with diverse and/or at-risk populations.  Strong interpersonal, communication and community relations skills are required.


Spanish GED Instructor
Part-time position
Scott Community College

The Instructor is responsible for planning and teaching  GED preparation classes in Spanish, maintaining accurate records of student attendance, and periodically assessing student progress. Responsibility may also include academic advising and acting as a college liaison with local community based organizations and schools.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.  Bilingual in Spanish/English.  Teaching/counseling experience in adult education, special education/learning disabilities, or language-learning is desirable, as is experience in working with diverse and/or at-risk populations.  Strong interpersonal, communication and community relations skills are required.
