RiverShare Libraries is a group of 20 Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.

• By collaborating as the RiverShare Libraries group, Quad-City area libraries can offer the best possible online catalog and ensure that we continue our unique history of sharing materials across state lines. The goal is to keep local libraries in a sharing environment while minimizing costs – an important factor given the economy.
• RiverShare Libraries is based on a successful model of cross-border library cooperation in the Quad Cities. The system worked well at the local level for 40 years.
• Costs are spread among member libraries, providing thousands of dollars in savings.

Who are the members of the RiverShare group?

RiverShare consists of 20 member libraries, 12 in Iowa and 8 in Illinois. Membership includes both public and academic libraries. Members will share materials and accept each others’ cards, allowing Quad-City area patrons to enjoy the same great access to materials that they’ve enjoyed for years.
