Fire Instructor Development
The series of courses listed below leads to certification as an adjunct fire instructor with the Midwest Center for Safety and Rescue Training.

Prerequisite: Certification as Fire Service Instructor I as provided by the Fire Service Training Bureau or equivalent. Fire Service Instructor II recommended.

All courses will be offered over the course of an academic year. 

Courses and Descriptions

General Safety  
Focuses on training ground safety practices and procedures.

Live Burn Interior
Course leads to certification as Midwest Center for Safety and Rescue Training “Live Burn” Instructor

Live Burn Exterior  
Course leads to certification as Midwest Center for Safety and Rescue instructor (exterior training props).

Live Burn Instructor Recertification  
Recertification course for instructors holding live burn exterior and interior certification.
