Engineered Wood
This program covers the history and development of engineered wood products as they are used in residential and light commercial construction. The information contained in this program will increase the firefighters understanding of the dangers of early structural collapse. 4 hours.

Vehicle Fire
This program covers the tactics involved with fighting motor vehicle fires as well as hazards associated with new vehicle technologies. Emphasis will be placed on fire tactics and fires in hybrid vehicles, lecture and practical. Minimum 10 students- Max 25

Marina and Small Boat Firefighting
for the Structural Firefighter
This program allows the structural firefighter a unique hands-on experience of fighting in a marina and a small boat fire from shore and from a boat. Students will conduct a spill containment exercise.

Basic Fire Ground Tactics
This course uses interactive CD’s to illustrate fire scenarios. Class makes decisions that are then played out on the computer screen.

Foam Operation
Students will train at the foam skills lab with live fire evolutions.
Fire Attack, Single Family Dwelling
This course includes dwelling construction characteristics, fire behavior, safety precaution and fire attack methods.

Emergency Vehicle Operator Course
EVOC teaches emergency vehicle drivers to avoid the types of accidents most often experienced in the line of duty.
The course covers: legal aspects of Emergency Vehicle Operations, techniques of vehicle handling and accident avoidance.
