Scott Community College would like to introduce the following players that have made commitments to attend and play soccer at SCC for the Fall of 2012
- Sabrina Torres, Moline High School
Sabrina is another versatile player that is transferring in from Ashford College that will give the SCC team so much need midfield and forward play. Sabrina is a very strong and fast player that can dribble past players one on one and very creative in the final third.
- Monique Welch, Geneseo High School
Moniqueis a solid outside midfielder that brings good skill and tactical understanding of the outside midfield position to SCC. She possess good speed and tackles hard. She has tailed 7 goals so far this season for Geneseo. She will be studing Radiology.
- Samantha Glackin, Alleman High School
Samantha Glackin has been the starting Alleman Varsity goal keeper for the last 2 years and earned All-Conference Honorable Mention during the 2011 season. Samantha has the ability to make some big saves and help to keep her team in the game, states Randy, Head Coach.
- Taylor Berry Davenport Central
Head Women's Soccer coach Jordan Hahn stated that, "Taylor is a very diverse player. She is a very strong outside mid using her speed to attack. Also can be a very strong outside defender, she always looks to get involved in the offensive attack. She is very fundamental strong and will be a great asset to SCC." Taylor is a very aggressive player that is able to start the counter attack quickly.
- Milka Martinez, West Liberty High School
Milka is a very stong defensive player that has shown very good leadership skills and posses very good technical skill. She commands her defense in a very positive manner and communicates good with her keeper. Milka's understanding of the tactics will help greatly.
- Alma Avila, West Liberty High School
Alma is a quick and versitle forward possising strong technical skill. She has the ability to move off the ball and create space in behind defenses that will help her teammates find scoring opportunities. Alma has 25 goals as a senior and was named 1st Team All Conference her senior year.
- Talye Anderson - Orion High School
Tayle has been a starting Left Full Back on the varsity since her Sophomore year. As a Junior last year she was selected to the All Area team playing on a team that set a new school record with 18 wins. This season Talye is a Captain of the team and is expected to lead the defense.
- Jessica Yackley - A transfer from Waldof College
Jessica will help in offensive attack with very good technical ability, and strength on the ball. She posses good field vision and great movement off the ball. Jessica is a quick player that will also help with the outside midfield transition from offense to defense.
Scott Community College would like to introduce the following players that have made commitments to attend and play soccer. All three players are from UTHS.
Bri Nevarez a fullback who earned Western Big 6 All Conference honors in 2011 and Kiana Brady, a forward who earned IHSA All Sectional honors in 2011, will be joined by back up UTHS goalkeeper Brandes Hamilton who's performances at Junior Varsity and Varsity level's caught the attention of Coach Chris Ellis. All three players have excelled this Spring for UTHS with Brady currently scoring 13 goals and Nevarez playing her consistent steady role on the left side of the defense as they hope to bring the WB6 Conference crown back to East Moline.
All three players will be joined by former UTHS midfield player Kore Pizano who graduated from UTHS in 2011 and spent the last year studying and playing soccer at Heartland Community College in Normal, IL.
Pizano was a tough tackling, energetic player during her four seasons at UTHS and should add to the strength in depth of Coach Ellis's squad next season.
