Allie Fuhlman and Adam Madison have been named recipients of the inaugural Scott Community College (SCC) Scholar Athlete Awards.
Fuhlman
is a sophomore who played on the college’s women’s soccer team. A
Muscatine High School graduate, she maintained a 3.7 grade point average
(gpa) this past year.
Madison is a freshman on the men’s soccer team. A Pleasant Valley High School graduate, he maintained a 3.94 gpa.
The
SCC Scholar Athlete Awards were initiated this year to recognize one
female and one male SCC student athlete for their academic achievements as well as their sportsmanship, leadership, and athletic accomplishments.
An
award, permanently recognizing their accomplishment, will be displayed
in the college’s Student Life Center. The names of future recipients
will be added to the award in future years.
SCC fields both
men’s and women’s teams in soccer and golf. The college is currently
welcoming inquiries from interested student athletes. For more
