Former Cardinal taken in Major League Draft

In the 37th round the Seattle Mariners drafted former Muscatine Community College Cardinal ace Chris Kessinger.

After two years as an all conference performer at MCC, Kessinger moved on to pitch for the University of Nebraska-Omaha for two seasons where he was All-Conference and Pitcher of the Year.
