• Kemp commits to MCC

Kemp commits to MCC 

Louisa-Muscatine senior Lucas Kemp has verbally committed to attend Muscatine CC to play baseball in 2011-2012. Kemp, a 6’2” right handed pitcher, was a 1^st team all-conference selection as a junior and sophomore and a second team selection as a freshman. He was also named to the Burlington Hawkeye All-Area team last year as a utility player. Kemp was 7-4 last season with a 1.69 ERA and hit .449 with 5 home runs and 40 rbi’s.

According Coach Barb, “Lucas is a very good student with a great attitude and work ethic. We think he has a huge upside and that he will be able to compete for a starting spot in our rotation as a freshman. “
