Basketball Head Coach Joe Shovlain

Coach Joe Shovlain is entering his first season as Head Coach of the men's basketball team. He previously served the last four seasons as Head Coach of the women's volleyball team. He began working at the college as Academic Advisor in February, 2003, and also serves as the college's Athletic Director

Shovlain has been involved with and coached many different sports. He was Head Basketball Coach at Prince of Peace High School in Clinton and a volunteer Assistant Baseball Coach for Clinton High School. Prior to that he was Assistant Basketball coach at Saint Ambrose University in Davenport and also served as the university's Director of Athletic Facilities and as an advisor to student athletes.

Shovlain holds an MBA and BA from St. Ambrose University. He and his family are long-time residents of Clinton where he has been involved in the community for many years in various volunteer activities and coaching.
