Home Inspector

Homes are being refurbished and placed on the market with great regularity. Every day, buyers turn to qualified home inspectors to evaluate the condition of the home they're about to purchase.

A Career Certificate as a Home Inspector will show future employers (buyers and sellers alike) that you have been trained to evaluate structural quality, plumbing, roofing, heating and air conditioning systems, electrical wiring, and more. This exciting and timely new certificate program could be exactly what you need to begin a new career as a home inspector or establish a home inspection business. (140 hours)  $588*

Paralegal

Paralegals, also known as legal assistants, help lawyers prepare for trials. Paralegals are responsible for investigating the facts of a case and review laws, legal decisions and legal articles that might be relevant to the case.

Paralegals may prepare written reports, arguments, pleadings and motions. Paralegals are also often charged with organizing and tracking files, and may draft contracts, estate plans, agreements and other common legal documents.

Demand for paralegals continues to be strong as more and more private law offices are turning to paralegals to help them reduce costs and provide more legal services in less time. Our six-course series will provide you with the skills and knowledge you will need to perform the basic duties of a paralegal. (144 hours) $1,270*

Further information can be found on our Ed2Go site or by contacting Deb Goodall, 563-336-3405.

PC Repair Technician

Job growth in PC repair reflects the increasing dependence of business and residential customers on computers and other sophisticated office machines.

A Career Certificate in PC Repair will show future employers that you are well trained and ready to work as a PC assembler or tester, upgrade technician or field service PC repair technician. You will learn to repair and add peripherals, troubleshoot, install and maintain the system, remove and replace CPUs, motherboards and memory.

After earning your certificate, you will be ready to start your own repair business, work for an existing repair business or gain employment in any business, government agency or other organization that relies on computers. (180 hours) $738*
