Program Description
The field of Interior Design is a profession with parameters defined by such organizations as ASID, AIA, and IIDA. The Scott Community College Interior Design Program seeks to educate individuals to become professionals both in skills and in attitude.
Interior Designers plan, design, and furnish interiors of residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. They formulate design that is practical, aesthetic and conducive to intended purposes, such as raising productivity, selling merchandise or improving life style. The program combines theory with hands-on experience that replicates the practices of professionals in the field.
