Why Community College?
Community college is a resource to everyone because there are so many opportunities. From courses that are one day fun classes to classes you can take for credit toward a degree, there is opportunity for people of all ages. Community colleges also provide students with small classes and plenty of hands on learning experiences. In addition to being affordable, community college provides the chance for everyone to learn and enrich their lives through education.
Best Things about Working with Students:
The best part about working with students is being around people who are excited about changing their lives. For many people college is a huge step in the right direction. The people I meet with on a daily basis are excited about the next phase in their lives. Though many people have a lot questions and concerns about the process of admission, at the end of the day they are always motivated and willing to share the goals for the future. This is really inspiring for me!
Other Information About Me:
I come from a family were education is an important value. My mother is a Principal in the community and my husband is a Science Teacher. While we place emphasis on education, we also love sports. I ran Division I track and field in college and I loved it! When I’m not running or playing volleyball, I’m volunteering and being a mommy. I’m the proud parent of 3 daughters, Aniya, Brooklyn, and Brielle.
My favorite quote is “Be the change you want to see in the world”- Mahatma Gandhi
