Qualifications for Algebra instructor(s) will include: Will teach Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, and Algebra II (fall session)
Bachelor’s degree in Math related field such as mathematics, math education, statistics, economics, engineering, and/or physics.
Qualifications for Introduction Chemistry instructor will include: Will teach fall session. T/R 6p – 8:30p
Master’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Master’s degree with 12 graduate hours in Chemistry or Biochemistry and 6 graduate hours in Chemical Engineering, Pharmacology, and/or Science Education.
Qualifications for Introductory Biology instructor will include: Will teach fall session. Mon/Wed 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and Friday 10:30 a.m.-12:30p.m.
Master’s degree in Biology or a master’s degree with 12 graduate hours in Biology and 6 graduate hours in Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Botany, Environmental Sciences, Horticulture, Marine Biology, Microbiology, Science Education, Virology, and/or Zoology.
Qualifications for Communication Skills instructor will include: (2017 fall session)
Master’s degree in Communication or English or a master’s degree with 12 graduate hours in Communications and/or English and 6 graduate hours in Communications, English, Journalism, Linguistics, Literature, Speech, and/or Theater.
Qualifications for Environmental Science instructor will include: (2018 spring session)
Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Earth Science, Natural Science, or Physical Science or any master’s degree with 12 graduate hours in Environmental Science, Earth Science, Natural Science, or Physical Science and 6 graduate hours in Agriculture, Agronomy and Soil Science, Biochemistry, Biological Anthropology, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Ecology, Geography, Horticulture, Natural Resources, Science Education, and/or Sustainability.
- Introduction to Sociology - Master’s Degree in Sociology or a master’s degree with 6 GSH in sociology and 12
GSH in Anthropology, Criminology, Cultural Studies, Gerontology, Public Policy, and/or
Social Work required. Position is at Wilton High School.
- Speech - Master’s degree in Speech/Communications or master’s degree with at least 18 GSH
in a combination of speech and/or communication studies.
- Introduction to Computers - Master’s degree required.
Qualifications for Contemporary World Issues instructor will include:
Will teach (summer &fall sessions) M/W/F 1 - 5 p.m. - Master's degree in Global or International studies or a master’s degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Global Studies, International Studies (12 GSH required in either of the previous two fields), Anthropology, Cultural Studies, and/or World History.
Qualifications for Intro to Computers instructor will include:
Will teach Monday thru Friday 8 – 11a.m. - Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a field related to the course.
Qualifications for Computer Literacy instructor will include:
Will teach Mon/Wed/Friday 10:20 – 11:20 a.m. - Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a field related to the course.
Qualifications for Elementary Spanish I and Intermediate Spanish I instructor will include:
Will teach Monday & Wednesday 1 - 5 p.m. - Master's degree in Spanish or any master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in a combination of the following fields: Spanish (12 GSH required), Cultural Studies ( focused on Spanish culture), Intercultural Communications, and/or Linguistics.
